Development of daily living and life skills focuses on training and development activities undertaken by the participant or their carer to increase their ability to live as autonomously as possible, including supports that will enhance the ability of the participant to travel and use public transport independently.
We can support you to build essential life skills to enhance your independence. This can be provided one-on-one or in a small group setting. Our programs are structured flexibly so that a participant’s specific learning needs can be met. We support participants to practice their new skills in the community. We do this by looking for opportunities to connect with people by eating out, joining groups and visiting community venues and events. We focus on supporting individuals to pursue and take part in recreational activities that appeal to their unique interests and personal goals.
